5 Years and Counting

Sam turned 5 last week and I can't stop thinking about how fast time is going by. Seriously, do I really have a kid who is 5 and will start kindergarten in the fall?!? The scary thing is that my earliest memories start around that age. Now that Sam is there I feel like I really need to start making some great childhood memories for him. Talk about pressure!

Either way, we adore Sam and have had a great 5 years with the little guy. We celebrated with a pirate themed party, and in honor of his B-day, I thought I would make a list of the top 5 things I love most about Sam (well, at least the top 5 things that are coming to my mind this late at night).

  1. I love his smile.
  2. I love when he sings.
  3. I love when he wants to hold my hand.
  4. I love his creativity and imagination.
  5. I love it when he SLEEPS. (This makes me forget anything he has done wrong and love him all over again when he wakes up.)

All Dressed Up With Somewhere To Go...Finally!

After one month of semi-hibernation I decided that it was about time Afton and I ventured into the "real world" by attending church. This was my first chance to play dress up with Afton, and I have to say I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Even better was that she did NOT spit up all over her clothes like I anticipated. That alone made this outing a success in my book!

Here are some recent pictures of Sammy and his Grandpa Walker. I thought they were pretty cute.
